Football clubs have several partners and picking up the right players to feature in a TVC can make a big difference. In this original and funny campaign by Europcar Arsenal players Petr Čech, Danny Welbeck and Per Mertesacker have been chosen to be the stars in the new online spots of the car rental company. The videos – that were released on Youtube – have received more than 2.5 million views after only a week since the campaign was launched.
This ad is an activation of the deal between Europcar and Arsenal FC, ongoing since 2014.
Ken McCall, managing director of EuropcarGroup UK, said: “Following the great fan engagement achieved with season one’s ‘Face to Face’ video, we felt confident that we could go even further for season two. The ‘Road Trip’ concept in itself illustrates the mobility messages for which Europcar wants to become famous so we were happy to take an even more subtle approach with the branding.”
