Heineken made the most of their partnership with the UEFA Champions League with its new advert, which has been shot by award-winning director, Guy Ritchie, and stars José Mourinho giving a motivation prep talk. Mourinho is famous for being a very good motivator and a very eloquent manager, and this campaign just reinforces the idea. In the ad above these lines we see Mourinho walking around on a rooftop in the middle of a storm, giving an intense prep talk to the audience.
The spot is part of Heineken’s “Champion the Match” campaign and launched in over 90 countries coinciding with the start of the 2016/17 Champions League season.
In the ad Manchester United boss and two-time winner of the Champions League, José Mourinho, addresses fans across the globe, urging them to prepare for match night, regardless of what time zone and part of the world they are in. Funnily enough, Mourinho’s team is not participating in the competition this year.
