Prime Time Sport brings John Terry to China

JTChinese media company 5USport and Prime Time Sport brought John Terry to China for a two day tour after being named an ambassador of football culture in one of its main cities.

JTAfter announcing his visit to China via Instagram, the Chelsea captain arrived in Guanghzou and received a warm welcome from supporters before his first public appearance, when he was presented with an award and showcased some of his skills onstage with one talented youngster.

Following an agenda full of different events and activiries, later in the day, JT had the chance to tour the city before meeting more fans in a meet and greet session, answering some questions, embracing Chinese culture and traditions and attend a gala dinner.

Speaking afterwards, Terry was appreciative of the hospitality he has enjoyed in China, and explained he hopes to make more of it in the future.

“I’m delighted to be here out in China meeting the fans,’ he said. ‘I came to Guangzhou with Chelsea in 2008 and was well aware of the passion these fans have for the game, and I’m really privileged to be able to spend more time here now.

I was invited over to be an ambassador of football culture for the young kids, and as soon as I heard about it I wanted to come. I’m very honoured to be given the award by the Guangzhou Football Association, and I look forward to building the fan club for myself and Chelsea here.”

During the second day John Terry also had the chance to show some of his skills to his Chinese fans and to play with the kids that gathered in Guangzhou for his visit. It was a very successful tour and all parts were extremely happy with the outcome of it and the media following that it had. John Terry officially launched his very own fan club in China thanks to 5USport and he intends to grow his presence in the biggest market of the world.
