Beautiful football back to the terminal with Nike

Brazil and the World Cup is a never-ending story, an association that will last forever. One of the most remembered sports ads of all time is a Nike TVC that featured the Brazil’s national team heading to France 98′. The airport’s terminal became a football stadium where Brazilian legends like Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Romario or Denilson practised their magic skills surrounded by travellers. Even the French icon Eric Cantona was impressed watching all the action from the plane.

That summer in France, Ronaldo and co where beaten in the final and now, twenty years later, Nike has decided to include the key segment of Ronaldo, a little bit older now, hitting one of the terminal’s posts, in their new commercial ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

In this new advert that Nike produced with the Canarinha, the new generation of Brazilian football leaders such as Coutinho, Neymar, Willian or Thiago Silva start with the skills in the dressing-room in yet another great example of how Nike’s affiliation with Brazil translates into beautiful football.

Below these lines you can see the original advert from 1998.
